I am delighted to invite you to attend a pop up exhibition on Friday 17th June for the 2021/2022 GCSE Photography and Textiles cohort. The exhibition runs from 5pm to 6pm in room 3.12. Please bring your parents, so they may sample what you have been able to create this year!
Your transfers are quite successful Clara - well done! Transfer some more of the coloured images onto acetate so that you can then sew them onto one another.
I am concerned that you have no work yet for your third artist. Please ensure that any work that has been done, is uploaded to your website, so that I may offer some feedback.

Thank you! I'll be sure to transfer more images and experiment with different materials to then sew together and collage.
Much of my third artist is physical so it may take a while but I will upload what I have done soon :)

There is some interesting work on your website now Clara - The colour collages are exciting but these need to explored more. You can print the images out of the coloured edits individually and then attach them together. You could make these more sculptural by stitching these together at different angles. Lisa Kokin does this in their work: https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/564568503289016560/https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/9007267975214290
You are yet to use any coloured thread. This could be something you could incorporate into your work.

For your second artist, please look at the work of John Clang, focussing on their Hopenhagen collaboration with portraiture.

The analysis is very powerful and interesting, and covers the topic in an interesting and concise way, and links to issues involving objectification and negative body images really well. It is also very well structured, and at no point did I lose my place in the paragraph because of too much information at once. This shows your understanding of the topic (A01).
The mood boards are very well designed and all the colours work well with each other, and they also are not in any way hard to look at.
Possible ways to improve would be to talk more about the artistic decisions that you made when writing your analysis, such as talking mor…
